Costa del Sol to Open Huge New £515 Million Attraction (Pictures)

These are the amazing images of the Intu Torremolinos commercial park opening in the Costa Del Sol in 2023.

The massive attraction will include eight themed neighbourhoods with hotels and restaurants, a Ferris wheel, beach club, aquarium and an all year round circus.

The estimated cost is a whopping £515 million and it sounds absolutely brilliant.

It will be located just north of Palacio de Congresos covering over 2.5 million square metres. It will be named the Intu Costa del Sol.

There will be 20 attractions including a wave pool, climbing area, concert, circus and climbing area.

There will be numerous shops, cafes and restaurants.

The location is no surprise as it currently attracts around 12.4 million tourists every year.

The project had been delayed for many years due to legal wrangling.

Efforts are being made to limit the impact on the environment, with at least 20% of the building construction being made from recycled materials, while renewable energy sources will be used where possible.

Outdoor performances and shows will be a feature across the attraction.

Intu operate a number of shopping centres around the UK and Europe, including Lakeside in Essex and the Trafford Centre in Manchester.

The attraction is expected to use a water recycling system for irrigation of green areas, keeping water consumption to a low.

Shops and restaurants will be opening over the next four years.

There will also be a beach club inside Intu Torremolinos.

The building work is scheduled to start in 2020.
