I've visited Glastonbury many times and it never gets old.
I've visited Glastonbury many times and it never gets old. There is something very unique about this place. Embrace the quirkiness, enjoy the history, amble around the shops full of all things 'witchy' and have a pint at the pub. You won't regret it.

If you’re into alternative lifestyles laid back people, walks up the tor, live music, therapies and crystals you will love. Huge choices of esoteric goods. As ever be discerning in what you choose to do or buy! The Crown in the centre is a good option for Glasto attuned food with the kitchen open most of the day plus pub atmosphere! Handy when most of the cafes are closed in the late afternoon/ evening (review written in January!)

Excellent value for money and friendly, helpful hostess.
Excellent value for money and friendly, helpful hostess. Everything needed for a comfy stay is provided, including fresh milk and a complementary block of local cheddar cheese in the fridge :) It's an easy walk to the High Street, very conveniently situation next to a supermarket and also easy to walk to the Tor.

Glastonbury and the surrounding area has a host of places of interest, especially if one is spiritually inclined. The town itself is full of interesting shops, although in the evening, lacking paces to eat after about 5 p.m, particular veggie and vegan.
A must see is the Tor itself, and the Chalice Well and other springs beneath it. Nearby is St Margaret's chapel and Wearyhill, which hosts the Gastonbury thorn, and also a fine countryside museum. Within the town is Glastonbury Abbey which also has a magical thorn and the said graves of King Arthur and Guinevere.
Worth exploring and not too distant are Stonehenge , Avebury stone circle and, at West Kennet, an ancient stone circle.

My first trip to Glastonbury and I enjoyed it very much visiting the high street, The Tor, The Almshouses and Chalice Well Gardens. Staying in fantastic accommodation at Middlewick Cottages I did not eat out in the town, but thoroughly enjoyed visiting the shops which were so interesting and fascinating and being greeted by friendly staff/owners.
Walking was a little workout as the high street is on a incline and climbing up to The Tor is a good workout. Chalice Well Gardens is on a slope in parts too.
Perfect visit to Glastonbury and I enjoyed the energy and opportunity to be in a magical place.
I was surprised that being a small hotel, there were so many details that had been taken care of (nice toiletries, fine coffee and tea in the room) It was really clean and with decoration details.
Graham and his wife are wonderful hosts. They made you feel very welcomed in their place. Last but not at all least, the breakfast was superb! Lots of variety specially cooked for you. Location is a 10 minute ride from Glastonbury, so we found that very convenient.
Wonderful stay! Warm atmosphere!
Highly recommendable hotel! Thank you Graham
Nice large room with lots of space, located upstairs in the separate more modern building behind the main house. Very comfortable bed and well equipped. Great location in the center of Glastonbury, near the Abbey.
The breakfast was nice, however somewhat limited in choice with no buffet of fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. Cooked breakfast was nice, though could have been hotter and more generous. The cake was a bonus a.nd very welcome
The situation of the hotel is perfect in the center of the town & close to everything.
The staff of the hotel was really nice & helpful. I really loved the lady taking care of the breakfast, she was so nice & welcoming, such a pleasure for every morning! Also the room maid was so nice & adorable, I had such an amazing stay in the wonderful town of Glastonbury ! :)
It was so well set up, cosy, beautiful location. I travel loads for work, so this felt like a home not a hotel. I loved how close I was to Glastonbury for my meetings but that I felt like I was on holiday.
Being able to cook dinner, breakfast and make up some lunch was also great, saved me a lot of money too.
jenni was incredible host. she was so kind and warm. I felt right at home. She gave me great suggestions for things to do in Glastonbury. She recommended me a wonderful massage therapist. My time at her home was so relaxing and peaceful. I couldn't more highly recommend. She is wonderful lady!
Peaceful quiet location. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Welcome pack of bread milk and other condiments really appreciated..very thoughtful. Sian was very helpful and communication responses were quick and efficient. Thanks for a fabulous stay. Bus nearby to Glastonbury was very handy!
Absolutely fantastic service, attention to detail and friendliness of hosts was exceptional. Would most definitely recommend to anyone looking to feel at home in a great location in Glastonbury. Breakfast is superb and hosts are very accommodating and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay.
Breakfast & dinner beautifully cooked and presented. Service very quick & staff friendly. The room was very clean. Location was perfect for making the most of Glastonbury. I was here for the medieval festival which is worth doing.
This place is wonderful.its very clean and the decor is of a high standard it's situated right in the heart of beautiful glastonbury.for the price it's above and beyond what I was expecting,I will definitely be coming back .
location was excellent, just in front of the Glastonbury abbey
the hotel is wonderfully decorated, very calm and clean
the breakfast was the best i've had (the eggs, yum!)
the staff is very understanding, extremely nice
The Crown is right in the Main Street of Glastonbury. I stayed in the Bob Marley room and it was very quiet even with the hotel downstairs. The staff were fabulous and so helpful. The food was good and coffee great.
We had a wonderful stay. The food was excellent, and I loved how the hotel had an "old" feel while still having the things that should be modern (bathrooms) modern. Wonderful staff, great location.
Very friendly and great atmosphere. Made my time very good and was I well looked after. I was at Glastonbury festival and so it was a great base and a brilliant place to get sleep and rest.
the apartment was very clean and well organised and we had everything we needed. Good sized and warm beds - there was snow outside! Great location near to the center of Glastonbury
