Eight top companies present a 30-minute show at Quebec’s La Ronde amusement park. Every year it is different and involves pyromusical synchronisations, oh yes, and did we mention the event occurs during a span of six weeks?

Fireworks on New Year’s Eve signifies the crossing over to the new year and ending the old year. With an extravagant celebration, such as the one in Sydney, in their iconic harbour, the celebration is very grand and beautiful, with gorgeous colors lighting up the evening sky.

“Hanabi Taikai” of firework festival, occur through Japan every year. This festival is a notable one since the traditions date back 400 years! It’s not surprising that this festival rightly holds the record as the largest fireworks festival in the world.

This day is celebrated every year in order to commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris in 1789, which triggered the French Revolution. What better way to celebrate than with an amazing firework display with the Eiffel Tower’s help?

The festival celebrations began after a horrible plague in Venice had ended in 1577. Ever since, people gather in San Marco Square and enjoy a beautiful firework display in conjunction with the festivities.

This event takes place once a week from July to August every year. In the bay of Cannes, competitors from various countries display their skills, and with the beautiful reflections in the bay, it’s a must-see for firework fans.

 

Southport Pyromusical Championships, United Kingdom

When: March-July

This competition takes a lot of training! Each of the competitors is required to synchronise their display to music in order to win the prestigious industry title of UK Champions. Southport becomes a pyromusical synchronisation destination, similar to the competition in Canada, but you don’t have to cross the Atlantic to see!

 

 Seattle, Washington on Fourth of July, USA

This event is not a space invasion, though with the Space Needle observation tower in view, one might think it is, it is actually the lovely firework displays in Seattle, Washington for 4th of July. Across America, the big and small cities light up their skylines with lovely fireworks to celebrate their Independence.

The Chinese New Year celebration in Bacalod City is a celebration of different cultures, and the Tsinoys or Filipino-Chinese. The celebrations include colorful lanterns, lighted floats, cultural dance, food alleys, and of course fireworks!

Nothing brings you back to your childhood more thanb seeing Disney’s Cinderella castle lit up by fireworks. They have various firework displays throughout the year, with narrations and glowing Mickey ears!

Düsseldorf, Germany has a very large Japanese community, so every year, there is a big festival to celebrate. The German-Japanese festival is the largest festival of its kind in the world, which includes cosplay, food, games, and of course a grand firework display. In the 2013 festival, there were 600,000 visitors to the event!
