In this post we’ll show you the first look inside Disney’s brand new cruise ship and it looks pretty incredible.

We also have a great video with more exciting news about what’s coming.

Disney Cruise Line has disclosed the name of its fifth cruise shop – Disney Wish.

The name sticks with the theme found in its other ships: Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy.

Disney Wish is expected to set sail on its first voyage from Port Canaveral in 2022.

Along with the exciting news wonderful new artist renderings were released.

These include the ship’s three-storey atrium.

And guess which character will be featured on the ship’s sterm?

Rapunzel:

Rapunzel will be the first female character to grace the stern of a Disney Cruise ship.

“Spirited, smart, curious and above all, adventurous, Rapunzel embodies the wish and desire to see and experience the world” according to Disney Cruise Lines and we have to agree.

Great choice!

The new ship will be similar in size to the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream with 1,250 guest rooms and a capacity for 4,000 passengers on the ship.

There are plans to add another two more ships in the next few years.

It’s hoped that cruises will begin in January 2022 and no itineraries have yet to be released.

Disney is also working on a second private-island port of call in the Bahamas.

This will be Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera.

Disney bought the island from private owners in 2019.

Disney has ensured the government in the Bahamas that it will be developed in a sustainable way and to develop less than 20% of the property.

Environmental impact assessments are being completed.

Disney is aiming to open up the island to tourists in 2022 or 2023.

That’s pretty much all we know, Disney are being fairly tight lipped but we’ll keep up-to-date with any developments.

We hope you’re as excited as the team at FBF are!
