Reviews

“My family and I have just returned from our stay at the Black Swan Manor and we had a fantastic time.”

The property is decorated to a high standard and very spacious which is ideal for a few families sharing or a group of friends. Our children especially loved the basement area which had a cinema room and a pool table. Location is excellent, it is right in the centre of Kendal and only a few minutes drive to Lake Windermere. Owner of the property (Gerry) was very friendly and accommodating and we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack on arrival. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a luxurious property in a beautiful area.

We had a fabulous week in The Black Swan.

It’s in a great location – well situated for local shops and restaurants. The owner was brilliant and did everything he could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The house is very comfortable and very well equipped with loads of space for a big group. It was spotlessly clean and a very welcome basket of goodies awaited us on our arrival. The hot tub was amazing and well used after a day on the golf course or out walking in the hills. Couple of minor issues – you would struggle to get five cars in the parking area – we struggled getting three in – so you may want to revise the information on that. Also there is very little hanging space in the bedrooms for clothes – no wardrobes – so if you’re there for a week with a lot of clothes, keep that in mind. We will definitely go back and recommend the house to other big groups looking for a place to stay in Kendal.
