Bowness-on-Windermere is a short distance away, a vibrant mix of two thriving towns where you can visit attractions including The Windermere Jetty Museum, The World of Beatrix Potter, and Blackwell Arts & Crafts House, as well as pubs, restaurants, shops, and watersports activities on Lake Windermere.

Journey over to the market town of Kendal, a fabulous destination where you can visit Kendal Castle, Quaker Tapestry, Miller Bridge, and sample local Kendal mint cake.

Other must-see towns and villages surrounding the lake include Ambleside, Lakeside, Waterhead, Grasmere Village, and many more with so much to offer in this amazing corner of the world.
