Go Ape, the UK’s number one Tree Top Adventure, and Go Ape Segway Experience are both accessed from the High Lodge Forest Centre. This welcoming wooden detached bungalow is situated on the owners’ delightful estate and working livestock farm, just a few minutes’ walk from the village centre of East Harling. It is a charming bungalow with a well equipped kitchen. After dinner, relax in the pleasant sitting room, where on cooler evenings you can light the woodburner and let your cares drift away, or on sunny days open the French doors in the kitchen that lead onto a patio area and lawned garden, where alfresco dining can be enjoyed.

Things to do:

On-site there’s a picnic area with thatched gazebo, set next to the River Thet, which runs through the grounds, plus there’s also a one acre fishing lake available for guests to use, and the remains of Old Harling Hall, once belonging to Henry the 7th’s chancellor can be seen on the estate. You also have free shared use of the hot tub.

The property provides access to many of Norfolk’s most popular attractions, including Thetford Forest, the city of Norfolk and the wonderful Norfolk Broads.

Things to do:

A short walk takes you to the seafront with its traditional seaside attractions, plus a little further is Hunstanton town centre with an assortment of interesting shops and cafes. Within easy travelling distance are Sandringham Estate, RSPB Titchwell and Snettisham nature reserves, and all of the beautiful west and north Norfolk coastline and villages.

Things to do:

Wayford is situated on the river Ant near Barton Broad. There is a large Farm Shop and Nursery, A bistro style restaurant / coffee shop, a pub and restaurant, small grocery and newsagent and a petrol station. In addition to four Boatyards, offering Day Boat and canoe hire. This is a very popular location for canoeing also leading to the Dilham Canal. There are also numerous attractions nearby including the Museum of the Broads, the Radar Museum, famous historic houses and beautiful gardens.
